build and bloom podcast episode 7 | how to open, run, and rent a photography studio with champagne of bookha studios

Champagne is a fashion and beauty photographer in Los Angeles, California. In addition to her photography, she is the co-founder of Bookha Studios in the heart of downtown Los Angeles.

The space is a colorful lifestyle photo studio available for rent that’s fully equipped with a kitchen, beauty room, giant windows, and diverse backdrops. It’s also female owned and operated!

In this episode of the Build and Bloom podcast Champagne talks about how she took her dream of running a photo studio and translated it into a reality. She also walks us through the backend process of running a studio. We get into all the logistics: from customer service, contracts, insurance, rent, security systems, parking, how to find a space, how to pitch companies for furniture…all the things she wishes she could’ve had simple answers to when she opened Bookha Studios a year ago.
