Beaumont Chandelier Review Hudson Valley Lighting & Dining Room Progress
I wanted the lighting in my family room to shift the atmosphere. A shift from the stark, cookie-cutter canned lights came with my builder-grade home to a cozy ambiance. I was on the hunt for something classic with a whimsical touch. I wanted a functional art piece.
It started with a quick google search that leads me down a rabbit hole that dropped me off on my Instagram explore page, where I discovered Hudson Valley lighting. It took less than 5 minutes for me to meet my match: the Beaumont collection from Hudson Valley Lighting. The traditional silhouette mixed whimsical flower crystals struck a balance I was looking for.
I knew I wanted a chandelier above my dining table, so I went with the 37 inch, 10 light size. I love how there are 2 tiers of teardrop crystals, making it look layered in glitter. These crystals are sparklie. They look like they could be Swarovski.
For the living room, I wanted to have 2 lights flanking the fireplace from the start. The two windowed alcoves in my living room that flank the fireplace is something that stuck immediate inspiration the moment I saw it in the model home. I love symmetry in balance, whether in my house or my photography, and I knew 2 lights and dramatic drapes would be what I am looking for. Hudson Valley Lighting carried smaller 3-light versions of the 20 light dining table chandelier. I love working in groups of 3s; I'm pretty sure that's a design rule of thumb somewhere, and I was excited about the idea of the balance where you would sit at the dining table and look across the open-layout to their fireplace, where the crystal flowers would continue. I loved how coordinated and finished it would make the room look.
I did have to hire an electrician to pull wire for the chandelier. He also moved the canned lights that were originally on both sides of the fireplace. The home came with these lights uneven, so it wasn't an option for me not to fix. I opted to go for having the lights line up perfectly with the windows.
The shipping process was simple. Everything arrived smoothly and well packaged without having excess packing waste. The Beaumont chandeliers are all so lightweight that I could transport them from my apartment to my new home with no issues.
With the Beaumont chandeliers, you will need to assemble all of the crystals, both teardrop, and flower, so grab a cup of tea and settle in. It doesn't take a long time, but it is a tedious task. Assembly will take a bit of concentration to get in the hang of. At first, I thought that the screws provided were too short. They are not too short; there is just no wiggle room. You sandwich the crystal flower pieces together, and the screw will absolutely fit. But it fits tight. I mean, it has too or else you risk the flowers dropping off when hanging.
We had a handyman hang the chandeliers. I went to my local hardware store and purchased 3 medallions for the ceiling. I love the way the medallions add an extra touch of elegance and interest.
I am so pleased with my Hudson Valley Lighting Beaumont chandeliers. Both with the product itself and the experience. I have linked below the Beaumont collection, available in both silver and gold, and similar sections from HVLG.
