Dunn-Edwards Shipping Paint Review | Yes, You Can Order Paint Online!
When I bought my home last Spring, the first thing I knew I wanted to do was paint my house pink. And my bathroom emerald green, my guest room peacock blue. I wanted my house to be full of color! Probably what you would think of any artist's home.
I went to a few hardware stores to begin looking at paint options. The pinks were too muted. The greens were too dated. The blues were too grey. The option for a color pallet that was contemporary & vibrant was non-existent, and I was so limited.
I found Dunn-Edwards paint originally via Instagram. They are based out of the Southwest but have rolled out an online shopping option with Shopify.

I am so grateful to be partnered with Dunn-Edwards for the paint of my house. When I thumbed through the fan deck with thousands of colors, I was inspired and relieved.
Their color selection was everything I had in my head, from contemporary to timeless. Diverse with all different undertones and a huge range of colors from subtle to electric, almost neon. I wasn't limited to a standard grey-based pink. I was overwhelmed by the selection in the best way possible.
The hard part was building out a color pallet for my house because I had to choose from!
I set up a color consultation with one of the in-house interior designers Dunn-Edwards has on staff. They have an interior designer in each store location & online you can have the same experience. I sat with my drafted color palette and fan deck. I went over every detail with my Online Personal Color Advisor. She helped me solidify my pallet, suggested a few new options (such as, instead of painting one of the bathroom WC's charcoal grey to go with a hunter green), and pick out the perfect pink for the main interior.
I almost immediately received a PDF with notes of everything we discussed, from the exact type of paint (I used the "Everest" line) to gloss finishes for each room. A few days later, I had a physical packet in my mailbox, complete with oversized paint swatches.
I was able to go back to my Online Personal Color Advisor throughout the process with any follow-up questions. Having the online color consultation helped give me confidence in my decision to go all-out with COLOR in my house.
If you want to take the step to bring color into your home, whether it's a bright accent wall, an unconventional front door, or swapping a beige interior for something a little more interesting, doing an Online Color Consultant is a must.
Choosing the right paint color is a tedious process (it took me an entire weekend to nail down my pallet! Having professional guidance can make the process easier and give you innovative ideas.
How is the paint delivered to me? They secure the paint with metal clamps that you can easily pop off with a flat head screwdriver. I highly recommend purchasing their fan deck instead of going off the online swatches. All computer monitors and phone screens are calibrated differently. To ensure you know exactly what color you are ordering, you will want to purchase a fan deck. There isn't a difference when you buy online versus in-person at a hardware store because it all goes off paint chips. So, you shouldn't feel nervous about purchasing paint online. The only difference is that with Dunn-Edwards, you have a wide selection to choose from.
My mom & I painted my entire house ourselves. It was a massive project, but the Dunn-Edwards "Everest" paint glided so easily over the dark taupe builders' paint. Many weekends later and we completed the last room in my house! I'm so pleased with the color pallet. It's colorful yet cozy, contemporary, and classic.
